This film was produced in the early 1960's in partnership with the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry, and briefly covers the different types of land uses that exist on both the public and private lands of New York. Both improper and proper management styles are conveyed. The benefits of good land management, including the proper practice of fire management, fish hatchery management, and logging are discussed, giving a rounded view on how the land we live on can help provide a sustainable and enjoyable lifestyle.
