Description

This film focuses on the effects and properties of duckweed on top of a body of water. Duckweed is shown from above the water, then close-up, with small objects being placed on top of the duckweed and used to move it and to show scale. Waterline shots simultaneously show the surface of the duckweed and its underwater roots. Multiple shots of a stone being thrown into the variety of ponds shown in the film show the effects duckweed has when the surface of the water is being disturbed. Additionally, time-lapse shots of duckweed growing in a small contained sample and floating on a pond are also presented.
